Dear Backers,

Sorry that I didn't update sooner. I thought the last update was in October and I can't believe it was in August. I lost track of time.

I've got now three jobs in order to fill the marmite so I'm in a deep work-coma.
But of course, I've been working on your  props: I made 14 pieces. It's not going fast enough I know but believe me : I do my best.
Please look at the result. I'm looking forward to sending them to you and get your feedbacks ;)

I'm looking to find a new supplier for the Bloated woman boxes because prices have increased by 30% ( averagely the same increase on many supplies )
I can't absorb the inflation that is severe for us. As soon as I find the boxes at a reasonable price I'll order them and start the paintings.

Thank you for your trust and support ;)
All the best!

Mid summer

Hiya,

I'm not totally dislocated by this crazy hot summer even if I'm going slowly, I'd manage to cast 8 pieces of your orders in July. it's more pieces than I previoulsy think but I didn't paint them yet. I would have to install an outdoor studio, in a windy shadowy spot of my garden to use the varnish, otherwise, I might collapse inside with the heat, in my little workshop under the roofs. I can bare to wear the mask with filters under those 42 degres.

I adapt to the situation and the to do list is progressing well.

Hope you're all going fine,

best,

Delphes

True Summer
over 2 years ago – Thu, Jun 30, 2022 at 03:19:06 AM

Hello !

I'm sorry I left you without news for so long (I started this update a week ago..) Things are calming down now that exhibitions season is over. I'll be in slow work for almost two months from now and I would have more time for you.   Here are the pix of the Bloated Woman and the Sand bat club I promised.

I hope you can feel the madness ! I try to put my passion to make "real" props in the hope it will make the rpg experience more immersive. I really believe objects can have a key role in the game. That's why I try to make my best for people to feel what it means to have an interaction with the weirdness.

I was born in a family that worship certain objets so it's comes as natural to me. When I create those props, I'm trying to create statues of twisted worship, undeniably produced by human art of course but likely to be credited by the cultists who are supposed to craft it with the power of a divine or demonic entity.

I was wrong to imagined for so long that I could produce all of those props alone- I have this terrible tendency not to ask for help. Since I was little, I used to make my own weird stuffs in my own corner, believing I could do everything by myself...and then Kickstarters happened and I met you guys. You pulled me out of my comfort zone!I'm sorry I didn't react properly to your encouragements : Instead of  thinking of a concret strategy, I panicked, and I fell back to my old habits : trying to do everything alone. But really, I prefer art when it is a collective matter  in a sense that each creator takes its place in the circle, gives and uses the energy of the researches of the other. But I may have had trust issues that made difficult to ask others for help.

That being said, I'm thinking my current projects in a different way, including other skills and other people in the process.

According to my recent work sessions and my whole schedule, I think I will be able to cast and paint 5 pieces per months. I plan to finish all the orders by the end of the year.   I only hope I won't have to get a third job to keep up with my financial needs because everything is changing so fast with the inflation. But even so I will be able to significantly advance the project in the meantime.

  You have a lovely summer.

Hey !

I hope you're all  doing ok ;)

I've caught covid in March with my whole family.

After a couple of days with high fever I was totally wiped out for almost three weeks and my moral was pretty low. I don't know if it's a symptom of the disease but the lack of moral was the worst aspect of the illness.

Anyhow, I regain slowly my strengh and enthousisam and I would say I'm at 80% percent of my normal game !

I had a real joy when I printed the Bloated Woman and the Sand bat this week. As ever, my sculptures are full of undercuts so I had to gently cut the mould to help remove all the pieces.

I liked to take over the drawing of the pieces.

I will share with you a pic when those two will be painted.

I look forward painting the Bloated woman with all the soft and pearly colors.I will try to print and paint 4 pieces per week from now.

My schedule has been delayed also with the audience I work with. After the pandermic, there is so much to rebuilt with already fragile populations. I'm sure we will get through this even if it takes time to recreate social bonds.

I also dedicate a part of time to my "Smashup" paintings for which I already had two orders. I do ned indeed to find new financial ressources to survive.

That's it for today.

Take care everyone !

best,

Delphes

Tokens
almost 3 years ago – Thu, Jan 20, 2022 at 12:38:32 AM

We're in January.

I don't know for you but for me, the relationship to time has changed a loooot with the pandemic. 2021 was quite alike 2020, and this begining of the year appointements are postoned again because of the Omicron. Despite this strange mood, It's still time to wish everybody a happy new year. I hope you'll have a lot of fun in 2022.

Look a the marvallous tokens I received from Campaing Coins ! It was the first token I've ever made and the result is very cool I think.

It's a real memorabilla coin.

.. I know my schedule for this first semester: January - March : Idol of Cthulhu project's and coordination of our new artistic project in our neighborood ( which funds working time to complete kickstarters). Avril-June : Australia-Shanghai sculptures and artistic animations in our neighborood.

I'll try to make a first piece of the Sand bat sculpture though becase I'm looking forward to see how it looks whith the whole patina. The prototype was in clay so I couldn't experimented the true feeling of painting on the plaster, which is another pleasure..

Best wishes to all of you,

Delphes
